Experience Erich Kästner's Seasons in Word and Sound
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the Literary Soiree in the St. Joseph Crypt connects Erich Kästner's poetic seasonal cycle The 13 Months with finely tuned musical accompaniment. The evening promises a literary-musical auditory delight in a concentrated atmosphere.
Kästner's Linguistic Art between Everyday Life and the Seasons
The 13 Months showcases Erich Kästner as a precise observer of the ordinary. His poems combine clear imagery, subtle wit, and a special attention to the changing moods of the year. In the reading, literary precision meets sensual seasonal poetry.
Reading Meets Accordion and Clarinet
Richard Aigner will present the reading. Annette Weber on accordion and Gregor Lang-Wojtasik on clarinet will enhance Kästner's texts with musical colors. Language, breath, and instrumental sound enter into a lively dialogue and create an intimate reading atmosphere.
An Evening of Cultural and Social Significance
The benefit event supports the Arche Disability Communities in Ukraine and Slovenia. Thus, the soiree combines literary experience, musical encounter, and solidarity engagement. The St. Joseph Crypt provides an atmospheric setting for this.
Conclusion
The Literary Soiree invites you to rediscover Kästner's seasonal poems and experience their linguistic artistry in conjunction with accordion and clarinet. Literature enthusiasts and fans of chamber music formats can look forward to a special evening in Memmingen. Donations support the benefit purpose.
