Memmingen Fair 2026: Thrill, Nostalgia, and Merchant Market Atmosphere
From October 10 to 18, 2026, the Memmingen Fair will transform the city center into a lively amusement park. About 80 showmen, rides, game stalls, and food stands invite visitors to an exciting shopping experience and autumn stroll for the whole family.
Fun Rides at Westertorplatz
At Westertorplatz, TopSpin No 1 offers spectacular upside-down rides, the family-friendly Parkour, and the running attraction Alpenrausch create an intense fair atmosphere. A chain carousel, children’s carousels, Dumbo flying elephants, duck fishing, mini-mobility, and Safari Trip complement the offerings for young and old fairgoers.
Giant Wheel, Music Express, and Haunted Cave
At St. Joseph's Church Square, the Giant Wheel with 24 cabins, the Music Express, and the new Haunted Cave with themed scare effects await. From the Giant Wheel, there is a broad view over Memmingen and the colorful activities in the city center. At Königsgraben, Hupferl and the Magic Castle promise additional entertainment.
Merchant Market with Regional Market Character
From October 13 to 15, the traditional Merchant Market will complement the amusement park. About 90 vendors will present household goods, ceramics, cleaning products, jewelry, and leather goods. A versatile market area for browsing, discovering, and haggling will be created between Roßmarkt, Weinmarkt, Maximilianstraße, and Hallhof.
Game Stalls, Crafts, and Sweet Fair Classics
Shooting galleries, game and throwing stalls bring excitement and small winning moments. Food stalls offer hearty fair cuisine, while candy vendors attract with gingerbread, heart-shaped cookies, crepes, and other treats. The historic children's fairy tale carousel at Schweizerberg combines nostalgic craftsmanship with child-friendly fun rides.
Opening Hours and Family Day
The amusement park opens on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 10 PM, Mondays and Fridays from 12 PM to 10 PM, and Tuesdays to Thursdays from 9 AM to 10 PM. The Merchant Market is open from October 13 to 15, from 9 AM to 8 PM each day. On Friday, October 16, reduced prices will apply to participating rides and showman businesses during Family Day. Entrance to the festival area is free; rides, games, and food will be paid for at the respective stands.
Conclusion: Experience Memmingen's Autumn Tradition Live
The Memmingen Fair combines modern rides, nostalgic classics, merchant market tradition, and culinary diversity right in the old town. Those looking for regional market atmosphere, thrilling rides, and a varied family outing will experience nine days of lived fair tradition here.
