Memmingen Funfair 2026: Thrills, Nostalgia, and Colorful Autumn Magic
From October 10 to October 18, 2026, the Memmingen city center will transform into a vibrant amusement park. Around 80 showman businesses, numerous rides, game stalls, and culinary offerings invite visitors to a diverse funfair experience for the whole family.
Ride Fun between Westertorplatz and Schweizerberg
At Westertorplatz, Königsgraben, St. Joseph's Church Square, Kaisergraben, and Schweizerberg, the offerings range from exhilarating thrills to nostalgic funfair atmosphere. The TopSpin No 1 promises spectacular moments with upside-down rides and water spring fountains. The Parkour takes families through an elaborately designed backdrop, while Alpenrausch offers excitement and entertainment as a walk-through attraction.
Popular classics like the chain carousel, children's carousels, Dumbo flyers, duck fishing, mini mobile and safari trip complete the program. At St. Joseph's Church Square, the Ferris wheel with 24 cabins, the music express, and the new ghost cave with themed scare effects await. The historic children's fairy tale carousel at Schweizerberg brings nostalgic charm to the city center visit.
Market with Regional Shopping Flair
From October 13 to October 15, the traditional market complements the folk festival. Around 90 vendors will present household goods, ceramics, cleaning products, jewelry, leather goods, and other useful, beautiful, or curious products daily from 9 AM to 8 PM. The market stalls are spread across Hallhof, Maximilianstraße, Roßmarkt, and Weinmarkt.
This connects the Memmingen funfair with amusement parks, market culture, and shopping experience. Amid colorful stalls, rides, and snack bars, a typical market atmosphere is created, filled with sweet scents, hearty snacks, gingerbread hearts, bread made with honey, and other sweets.
Kick-off, Family Day, and Extended Sunday Shopping
The official opening will take place on Saturday, October 10, at 11 AM at Westertorplatz. At 10:15 AM, the Amendingen music band will provide a musical introduction. On Friday, October 16, reduced prices will apply at participating rides and showman businesses during Family Day.
On Sunday, October 11, the funfair can be combined with a shopping tour: The stores in the Memmingen city center will open for extended Sunday shopping from 1 PM to 6 PM.
Opening Hours and Arrival
The amusement park opens on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 10 PM, on Mondays and Fridays from 12 PM to 10 PM, and from Tuesday to Thursday from 9 AM to 10 PM. For the market, the opening hours from October 13 to 15 are daily from 9 AM to 8 PM.
On Sunday, October 11, a park-and-ride service will also be available. Buses will run from the parking lots of Pfeifer at Dr.-Karl-Lenz-Straße and Magnet Schultz at Allgäuer Straße every 30 minutes to the endpoint at the surveying office at Bismarckstraße 1.
Conclusion: Funfair Experience for the Whole Family
The Memmingen funfair combines modern ride fun, historical market culture, nostalgic carousels, and culinary delights. Visitors can expect a diverse autumn stroll through the city center with a market, showman businesses, and offers for young and old. Those who want to experience the special market atmosphere of Memmingen live will find many good reasons to visit between October 10 and October 18.
