Memmingen Fair 2026: Thrill, nostalgia, and market in the old town
From October 10 to 18, 2026, the Memmingen Fair transforms the city center into a lively meeting point for families, marketgoers, and friends of a refined fair atmosphere. Around 80 showmen's businesses, modern rides, game booths, snack stalls, and sweet specialties provide regional variety and diverse experiences for nine days.
Excitement between Westertorplatz and Schweizerberg
At Westertorplatz, at Königsgraben, St. Joseph's Church Square, Kaisergraben, and Schweizerberg, thrilling rides, classic carousels, as well as game and throwing booths await. The offer ranges from family-friendly attractions to action-packed rides with flips and special thrills. Children discover carousels, children's planes, and other age-appropriate amusements, while daring visitors seek the adrenaline kick of modern show businesses.
Fair enjoyment for the whole family
The market atmosphere includes fragrant snack stalls, sweet treats, and typical fair classics. Gingerbread hearts, tummy bread, crêpes, ice cream, and other sweets accompany the stroll through the festival grounds. Shooting galleries, duck fishing, and throwing games provide entertainment and the chance to win small prizes.
Market with goods for everyday life and household
From Tuesday, October 13, to Thursday, October 15, 2026, the traditional market complements the folk festival. About 90 vendors present household goods, ceramics, cleaning products, jewelry, leather goods, as well as useful, beautiful, and curious items between Roßmarkt, Weinmarkt, Maximilianstraße, and Hallhof. The market combines a weekly market feel, shopping experience, and city center stroll.
Opening hours and special dates
The amusement park is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM to 10 PM. On Monday and Friday, the opening hours are from 12 PM to 10 PM, and from Tuesday to Thursday from 9 AM to 10 PM. The market invites browsing from Tuesday to Thursday from 9 AM to 8 PM. On Friday, October 16, Family Day offers discounted prices at participating rides and showmen's businesses. On Sunday, October 11, many shops in the city center will also open from 1 PM to 6 PM.
Conveniently to the Memmingen city center
For 2026, a park-and-ride service will be established again. The extensive event area is located right on the edge of Memmingen's old town and spreads across several public streets and squares. This way, the fair, market, and city center stroll can be easily combined.
The Memmingen Fair stands for lived tradition, modern showmen's culture, and a versatile shopping experience. Visitors can expect a colorful mix of fun rides, shopping experiences, regional market atmosphere, and culinary delights. Anyone who wants to experience Memmingen particularly vividly in October should personally discover the fair.
